梦 - Deja vu
I'm having lunch in the dining hall studying for my exam. Of course, I'm referring to our dear beloved Bruce Hall dining hall. Happily eating lunch while studying for my next exam.
Not keeping track of the time, unknowingly, it suddenly became 7.30 pm! Remembering that my exam starts at 7:00 pm (this is a dream, okay?). I freaked out, colelcted my stuff and ran out of the dining hall. Then I saw a car leaving Bruce Hall.
Desperate, I requested (more like emphasized, demanded) the driver to give me a trip to (heh?) Moran. So this driver, along with his fren, drove slowly down Daley Road, to the main road, into the turning leading into Toad Hall, and turned right into Toad Hall!
I nearly fainted, then, and asked the fella, "What the hell?"
"Oh, we have to fetch a friend from Toad Hall, it won't take long, still faster than you running down Uni Ave." the friend said.
So being the fool I was, I waited in the car. Time ticked by slowly. My patience was wearing thin (I think I was getting a bit superbly impatient, cuz I woke up with this major build up of impatience later). I looked at my watch, 1.40pm! And we're still waiting!
Dashing outta the car without saying thanks, I ran the rest of the way to Moran. Reaching the building, I saw a sign outside the door, saying: BIOL1600 1:00-8:00pm.
"@#$%!@#$%!@#$%!@#$%!" as I went into the hall. As I opened the door, a bell rang in my mind. I peered inside, and it was indeed BIOL1600. 'Heh? Wasn't my exam time 7:00 pm?'
I closed the door quietly and opened my bag. And saw that my exam was yesterday! 'Heh? Then what exam is this? Wait, was there even a BIOL1600 course? Then... what the hell am I doing here?'

Then I woke up, as I said, feeling damn impatient. And feeling a rush of different emotions. Then sleepyness prevailed, and I went back to sleep, this time dreamless.
Why deja vu, one may ask. Well, most of Bruce Hall people will know the following story which happened on the 14th of November, 2006:
9 am: I was having breakfast, thinking my exam is at 2 pm. Meanwhile, my handphone in my room rang. Call by Xin and later Tenzin.
9.10 am: Went back room and resume studying for exam.
10 am: Decide to take a break. Check phone. 2 miss calls. Thinking Tenzin's one is most probably questions on exam, that one's gonna be long. Deal with the other, shorter one first.
Call Xin.
Xin: Eh? Your exam over liao?
Me: Shit. What exam? (Checks timetable online) OMG @#$%! @#$%! @#$%! @#$%! (For the person who rarely curses, this is something, I tell you)
Xin: Okay, okay, go, go, go, byebye, byebye, byebye.
Rushes out of room, shaking with fear.
10.10 am: Arrives at JD (the exam venue), requests to meet with invigilator. Plead with invigilator (imagine me, with one single emotion: fear, and a damn pathetic and frightened face, and can almost be begging to sit for exam)
Invi: Well, you can't take the exam, it's 40 minutes past. We only allow up to 30 minutes late.
Me: Please, please... (yeah, imagine pathetic, real pathetic)
Invi: (Takes handphone) (Sloooooowwwwly scrolls down, MESSAGE bla bla bla, GAMES, EXTRA, SERVICES, OPTUS)
Me (thinking to self): Omg, my life is on the line here, do you need me to teach you to use the damn phone????
Invi: (presses CANCEL, then presses the call button twice) C***** (forgot the fella's name), Brandon here, I've got a student who is 45....
Me: 40.
Invi: ....minutes late, can he enter the exam hall? ...Mm hmm... Okay. (Offs phone, gives me instructions)
10.20: I rush to lecturer, request lecturer to mediate for me. Then went to faculty office, take in form, fill up form. On the reason page (which is one whole friggin page long), wrote one sentence: Honestly, I got the time wrong, I thought it was 2 pm, when it was actually 9 pm.
10.30: Rush back to lecturer, pass the form. Lecturer calls down dept Head. Plead further.
And finally...
10.45: Sits for exam. Whee....
